Launching 3 exciting publications

On this day we launched the first of 3 publications. These are updated in 2022 and available to purchase via our Resource section or below.

The first one below is about Equality and legal requirements.

“I want to thank you again for your time and for the fantastic documents on your site, they’re really well structured and so much nicer to read than the AD M.” –

  1. Andrea smith says:

Is it against the law to block access to an accessible toilet

    1. L Watch says:

If toilets are provided (and not blocked) in the same place as the blocked accessible ones, then the business is not meeting it’s legal requirements to ensure access. If a company decides to block, close or lock up their toilets for all customers or all staff then they can do that.

  2. Nancy Dickson-Fisher says:

Surely restaurants have to comply by law? We are in a restaurant with toilets upstairs only that my wife cannot access due to a stroke, bloody outrageous

    1. The problem is nobody applies the law – and older buildings from 90’s weren’t required to install them. All we can do is ask about their reasons for not providing them and take it from there armed with some information about the legalities of their reason.

  3. Angela May says:

what about Changing Places toilets…? should they be included? can let you have any support info, in=mages etc if needed regards Angela

    1. Changing places are included heavily in our guides 🙂 The first guide is legal aspects and doesn’t focus on facility details. The second two are feature focused and have lots of CP info 🙂
